Nordic Naturals, a renowned supplement brand with 27 years of expertise, was facing a unique challenge: their portfolio of products had expanded rapidly and created a disjointed shopping experience for consumers. They asked Mackey to audit the category and develop a packaging design system that accomplished three key objectives: refresh the brand, create a shoppable system across their portfolio and preserve the brand’s equities and heritage.
The strategic design system not only accomplished these goals, but also organized pertinent information for a cleaner consumer read-through in the sea of supplement options. Once the core products were addressed, we moved on to the Baby, Kid and Cod Liver Oil product lines, which incorporated custom whimsical illustrations.
The result: a consumer-friendly system that simplifies the shopping experience while staying true to the established Nordic Naturals brand.
